TQOTD: Hockey

I don't usually ask questions like this one, about specific sports championships in specific years, but I am going to make an exception here.

Who won the 1919 Stanley Cup?

Nobody. The Montreal Canadiens (of the National Hockey League) and Seattle Metropolitans (of the Pacific Coast Hockey League) were tied 2-2-1, when the series was called off due to the inluenza epidemic. The Montreal coach and several of his players came down with the flu. Although Montreal offered to continue the series with replacement players from another team, the Seattle team "gracefully declined". Source: NHL.com .
