Miscellaneous Good Things

The wonderful shampoo that [livejournal.com profile] brian1789 bought back from a swnk hotel in Tokyo. It makes my hair feel wonderful!

My new YMCA membership. I have a one year membership, courtesy of a church raffle, that I could not otherwise afford. I plan to go swim later today.

That I am feeling a little more capable.

Oooh. Sounds fun, wish I could go with. I joined my gym specifically because they had a pool, and in two+ years I have yet to actually go in it. I suppose I should do that before I cancel my membership, eh?

Yay for the Y membership! Do they have childcare? I've heard that at least some Y's have good, cheap care, if that's of interest. Swimming is good. So is water exercise (water aerobics).

And I'm very glad you are feeling more capable.

They do, but I am planning mostly on using J for childcare -- going either while the kids are in school or after the little ones have gone to bed.

Makes sense. But it's always nice to have that other option as a backup. Did you get to swim yesterday? How was it?

It was hard. I swam for fifteen minutes -- ten lengths of the pool -- and I wanted to die after the first two lengths.

Well, I'm sorry it was that hard. But YOU DID IT! Yay! Keep at it--it gets easier. I always liked swimming better than most other exercise, because I HATE to sweat. At least in the pool you can't TELL when you're sweating! :^)
