I went to covenant group tonight. That was a good thing. (Covenant group is a group of women from my church who get together every week to talk about what's going on in our lives and then do a short Bible study.) I was able to talk about what I have been feeling lately, was reassured that I was a good and worthwhile person, and left feeling more hopeful and cheerful than I have in months. These women have seen me at my worst and they still care about me. It's very humbling.

Not to get uncharacteristically mushy or anything but that, as the song says, is what friends are for.

I'm glad you got some hope and cheer. Sometimes getting it where you ought to expect it can be ironically surprising. But nice.
