Let's not be rash......

David still has a rash. When I called the advice nurse to see what I could do to help him, she made serious noises and wondered if he might have Scarlet Fever. (He didn't have a fever, and was inconsistent as to whether he had a sore throat.) So, I had to call my doctor's office (this was after hours) and speak to another nurse. She basically said not to worry too much, but if it was still there the next day to take him in. After I talked to the first nurse, Kevin came in and complained of being itchy -- now *he* has the rash. They've both been dosed with Benadryl and sent to bed.

I am fighting guilt feelings -- I had the kids in day care today for seven hours (to give me a break). I told them when I took them in that David had an allergic rash. I honestly believed that, but if I've exposed all those kids to strep, I'll feel guilty.

I made spaghetti for dinner today. I've been a single parent (again) since Sunday, but we've eaten dinner at home every night (that's unusual). I promised James I would make sheperd's pie tomorrow.

chicken pox, maybe?

No, I don't think so. It doesn't look like chicken pox -- too fine a rash. Also, David was vaccinated, and Kevin, although he was vaccinated as well, actually had chicken pox. (James did not, but announced one day when he was two that he had "bunny pox". We were never able to figure out the symptoms of that.....)
