Yippeee!!

I just got my reading assignment for the Lessons and Carols service at church on Sunday. I get to read the Annunciation (from Luke -- including the Magnificat). I'm floored. Not that there is a bad (read:boring) reading in the bunch, but the Annunciation is last and best. (The other terrific reading is the first one, Genesis 1.)

Wow. I feel humbly happy about this.

Just found you through comments in browngirl's journal and was so thrilled to find an LJer almost as old as me (not to mention commen interests!) that I friended you at once.. hope you don't mind!

And I envy you doing Lesson and Carols.. we'll be doing the usual Methodist Mishmash Christmas Eve.
