(no subject)

I am having A Procedure done tomorrow.

My current routine: drink 8 ounces of really vile tasting solution. Set timer for 10 minutes. Frequently run to the bathroom. When timer goes off drink another 8 ounces and reset timer. Seriously Unpleasant. [Edit: Oh, great, I think I'm going to hurl. I wonder if that will invalidate the prep?] [Edit Edit: Oh, great. I just lost it. I called the gastroeneterology nurse in hysterics (low blood sugar does that to me). She was pleased that I had started my liquid diet on Monday -- apparently I needed to start it yesterday, even though the nurse who gave me instructions when I set up the appointment clearly said three days. So she thinks it will be okay after all -- and I have permission to wait longer before taking doses. This is just so so nasty.]

All of this is making me even crankier than I was because I have not had any real food for two days and am suffering from chronic low blood sugar. So I am coping by watching "Looney Tunes Golden Collection." There's not much that can't be made better by watching "The Rabbit of Seville" or "Duck Amok."

I've had that 'procedure'...

The Prep is WAY worse than the Procedure.

I was standing next to a lady in the Pharmacy when I got the prescription filled, and she said the same thing.

This sounds a lot like something my mother had to do, and yes, the prep was much worse than the procedure. My mother's blood sugar fell so low we were considering taking her to emergency; eventually we just gave her something with some actual sugar in it, as we couldn't see how it could possibly make the situation worse.

that sounds seriously, horribly yucky.

enjoy the Looney Tunes.

Yuck yuck yuck.

(Is this mostly cautionary, or do they think Something Is Up?)

It's mostly cautionary -- I had some bleeding in December, and although they pretty much know the cause, they wanted to rule out anything serious.
