I am I, Don Kevin....

My youngest has decided that the literary figure he is most like is ... Don Quixote. "He's dark and misunderstood! Just like me!" "You mean, everybody thinks you're crazy, and you only want to try to do the impossible?" "Exactly!"

The kid is eight. The drama queen tendencies are staggering already. Adolescence will be something.

Anybody want to rent a slightly used boy? High amusement value.

Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! Oh man, I can so totally hear that exchange in my head.

He does have a flair for the dramatic, that boy. And he's so .... cheerful... in his preadoloscent angst. It was almost like he was delighted to have found a role model. I suppose I shouldn't complain: better literary figures that athletes.

My children are many things, but boring they are not.

*mad giggling*

I'll rent him for a while. Sounds like fun. Does he do parties?

Oh, probably, he likes being in the limelight.

That whole desire to pull off the impossible thing, though, I could see where he gets it from. And, well, there are worse things to want to do. Miracle Worker isn't necessarily a bad aspiration ;).

Yeah, he gets a lot of traits from someone else in the family.

*snort*

the first time I saw the two of them together at the playground, I thought "it is so amazing that Pat hasn't killed them. Slightly amazing that neither has gotten themselves killed, but really, I'd *kill* them."

Thanks, but I already have a couple of those :):).

I think he sounds delightful, though :).

He is delightful. My favorite quote from him was earlier this year when I chewed him out for something and he said "That's right. Blame the redhead."

Oh, that's *lovely*! My burst of laughter startled the dog :):):).

Heh. Now I'm wondering if extensive research could prove that a flair for theatrics is recessive and carried on the same gene as red hair. :-)
