Ow ow ow ow

We went over to a friend's house for Thanksgiving. We were going to fix the turkey yesterday, but it was still frozen (it was still partially frozen today, but running it under water for a while helped. So we are going to have a nice dinner tonight. I hope.

Just now, when I was putting the turkey in the oven, my hand slipped and the back of my wrist fell against the oven door. As a result, I have a burn the size of a golden dollar on the back of my wrist.

I immediately ran it under cold water for several minutes. The outer part of the burn is red. The central area -- about the size of a large pea, is white, and the skin sloughed off. I put silver sulfide cream on it (a doctor had given me the cream once when I had had a similar, though larger burn) and covered it with a gauze pad.

But it hurts like a bitch, and I feel queasy and a bit faint.

[Edit: Just looked at it. As burns often will, it has changed dimensions: now it is approximately 2" in diameter, with a gray-white area the size of a quarter, and a skinless area the size of a large pea. It still hurts, although less.]

Owow.... I think I have some Foille ointment in my medicine cabinet, or possibly on my nightstand.

Oh dear. I'm sorry that happened! I hope it doesn't turn more serious. *hugs*

ow!

I hope it turns out okay, and that it doesn't interfere too much with the other things you need to do (one of the reasons I *so* hate hand injuries).

Well, you would. Feel that way, I mean.

Take care of yourself, hon. :(
