Yet *another* reason not to shop at Wal-Mart.

I would like to point out that the Times, in addition to being my hometown newspaper, has made it onto Bill O'Reilly's enemies list. Way to go, St. Pete Times!

[edit: link should now work.]

The link about walmart doesn't seem to work...

She fixed it.

And wow.

I hope they take their business elsewhere permanently and I hope they sue Wal-mart successfully. I'd be very interested in how Wal-mart handles this.

Wow... I don't know how things work in Tampe, but in the UK this would probably be grounds for a defamation of character suit, and it sounds as if there would be a very good case against WalMart.

It might well be here, too. But given that he wasn't charged with anything, and given that he holds a responsible position and *his* company is backing him up, I'm not sure how much he would gain in terms of damages. Better to publicize it as much as he can, which I'm sure will happen, and since everyone of of his firm's many employees will go home and tell their friends, some portion of those people will stop shopping at Wal-Mart. That and take your business to Target, of course.

Oh, I forgot. A lawsuit makes more sense in Britain, where the loser pays the winner's court costs.
