Oh, joy.

I had retreated to my room. I noticed that it had gone really quiet in the other room -- So I went in to get a soda so I could surreptitiously check on what was going on. His fellow bandmates were trying to teach my eldest to play the electric guitar.

Just what I need, an electric guitarist. The neighbors will just *love* that.

Just don't let him have an amplifier. It'll be much quieter than an acoustic guitar.

Really, I used to play unamplified electric guitar in my cube in the barracks all the time. Very quiet.

Just to show that it's not just with preschoolers that you should worry when it suddenly goes quiet.

Oh, I think there are a lot of ways in which teenagers resemble toddlers, especially two-year-olds, especially in the way that they respond to "No".
