Letting go.

I am going to make myself go to bed.

It is 2:20 a.m., and I am freaking out. I noticed today that someone had managed to get the locking lug nuts off Vincent's wheels. I meant to go to Pep Boys and get another set, but I had some Medical TMI and spent the after laying down more or less, after I picked up David from his day camp.

I remembered late enough to make a dash for it, but I couldn't find the Pep Boys and arrived at the Kragen Auto Parts just as they were locking up. No luck.

So now I am sitting here afraid to go to bed because if I do the potential thieves will strip off Vincent's custom wheels. Except that chances are they could strip the wheels even if I were awake, as long as I was not sitting out at the car.

As of ten minutes ago, the wheels were still there.

I have. got. to. go. to. bed. I am driving to Coalinga tomorrow. I need to be in good shape for that.

Hugs... How scary, to find those gone and to have to wonder if there will be a second theft! Is there any chance that a police report would be useful - in case there's been a pattern of this sort of thing around the neighborhood?
