For anyone who has sent me email: Something is wrong with the settings on my mail program. I can receive but not send email. I'm hoping I can figure this out soon.

Do you get any sort of error message when you try to send mail? What client are you using?

Sigh... go to Preferences, then Accounts, then edit lithic.net. Look at the bottom -- the "outgoing mail server" should say "mail.lithic.net:patgreene" or maybe a dslextreme.com:patgreene. If not, mouse over it and pick lithic.net as the outgoing.

Actually, that was the first thing I did. It still will not send mail. I also tried setting it for "mail.dslextreme.com:patgreene" and that did not work either. I wondered if perhaps it listed the wrong server port, but I don't have that information and did not want to change it while you were not home.

Hmmm... it should be port 25. smtp.dslextreme.com with no username should also work.

Yep, that seemed to work. You can ignore the two e-mails you just got from me -- they're out of date.

And now that I think of it, one of them was an e-mail saying "Outgoing mail is not working". *facepalm* that was really bright, now wasn't it?

You aren't using mail.com through a pop3 account are you? Cause I am and I can't send mail either.
