What event happened on this day in 1961 at the Bahia de Cochinos?



1,500 Cuban exiles, trained by the CIA, invaded Cuba, landing at Bahia de Cochinos (Bay of Pigs). The Cubans quelled the invasion, and by April 20th all of the invaders were dead or captured.

I'd guessed "Bay of Pigs" invasion; good to see that even pidgin Spanish has its' uses. :)
