I can go to sleep now. I was panicky over ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
brian1789's safety, but I just talked to him and he's fine -- he is having a wonderful time in Japan (he's in Kyoto now). I love him dearly and when we are separated by this much distance I get fearful -- sometimes irrationally so. He may be safer in Japan than driving Highway 101 at home. At least I don't have to worry about hypothermia and polar bears, as I have the past few summers when he's gone to Devon Island (in the Canadian Arctic).
I'm glad he's having such a good trip but I will be even more glad when he is home.
