I'm writing a bible exercise for my church. Can anyone suggest a synonym for "hero-worship"? I've already used "putting on pedestals."

Note to self: it's a *lot* harder to write the LBT when you didn't actually understand Kevin's sermon. Taking more legible notes next time and having more coffee now might help.
