Landover Baptist is a spoof, and a very funny one, at that.

This however is something else: an organization which calls itself the Bullshit Broadcasting Confederation appropriates the logo of the real BBC, sets up a web page with a fake news story on it (Mel Gibson arrested on terrorism charges) where the links next to the story go back to the real BBC website, and then have the unmitigated gall to say that this is a lesson to teach people to check their sources.

No, it's not. It's fraud, and I hope to God either the real BBC or Gibson (preferably both) sue the ass off these wankers.

It is hard enough to figure out who to trust in the media these days, and there are good guys doing decent work, and this is just damn irresponsible.

Things that are good:

[livejournal.com profile] brian1789 surprised me with cool-looking business cards. They have my name and my website url and email address.

The house is livable.

The younger boys cleaned their room!

The temperature was very very lovely today.

I had a good laugh with the teenager over dinner. (About televised dominoes.)

While the cake I baked yesterday fell to crumbs, they are very tasty crumbs, and the frosting is kick-ass.

I have my computer, even if I have worn the letters off about ten keys (this is the third keyboard I've been on on this machine).

New post at WWF, about death-qualified juries and the Yates case. I actually wrote most of it last week, but didn't get around to posting it. It's sort of old news, but I thought I would post it anyway.
