I was at Cuesta Park, and we were leaving to go home. I asked Kevin to open the hatch to the trunk so I could put my computer in. He did so, and I walked right into the edge of the hatch.

I cut a inch and a half long gash in my face, running along the top of my eyebrow. Blood started running down my face. James came up, said "Oh my God! What happened!" "Squirrel got me." I replied. "Really?" "No, I hit my head."

I now have a gash. I wanted to have it seen, but the doctor's office was closed and I was not going to spend hours at Stanford ER. I will go in first thing tomorrow morning.

I also am going to have a bruise running the length of my face. My whole right side of my face hurts.

I've not been sleeping well. Even when I get to bed late, I don't sleep well.

Until last night. I slept like the proverbial rock from the moment my head hit the pillow until six hours later when the alarm went off. When I got off, I was still asleep on my feet, stumbling into things.

I've been that way all day. Nothing has helped -- not coffee, not taking my morning meds, not food, not sugar. I've been so out of it, I've been worried that I wasn't being responsible driving -- afraid I'd get pulled over.

I just could not understand it. It was like I was drunk.... or drugged.

After I hit my head I got to thinking back to last night. And taking my meds.

I took my meds out of the Sunday slot, since I had set it up actually on Monday. I refilled all the slots. I went and did other things, then came back... and noticed that the Sunday slot was filled and took the meds again.

I was lucky. At least one of my drugs can cause seizures in too large a dosage. And I didn't get in an accident, or run over anyone, or get hauled in for DUI.

The resident in charge says I should take half doses tonight. I still feel really drugged. I hope Ibuprofen works on the not inconsiderable pain in my face, 'cause there is no way I am taking anything stronger.

I hope I am normal and can drive by morning.
