I just heard a thump, thump, thump over head. Wow, that's one mongo squirrel, I thought. And then I saw Kevin's shadow on top of the house. He had used the big ladder to climb up to retrieve his boomerang.

He is now in his room for his own protection. I am waiting for my pulse and blood pressure to approach something remotely normal before dealing with him.

[Edit: he has been sent to his room for an entire hour. Problem is, this means I have to delay going to the store for Vick's Vapo-Rub until that's over or until James gets home, whichever is first.]

[Edit #2: I just realized that tomorrow is Kevin's skating test, which means he need to go to the rink this afternoon. Bleh. Best bundle up well, then.]

My sister loved to climb out on the roof. Almost gave my father a heart attack the first time he drove home to see her 3-year old head peeking over the top of the garage at him.

He needs the most work on T-stops, arm position and making his backwards stroking smoother...

My cousin did the same thing, at the same age -- 3 -- but never with clothes on. My aunt would get calls: "Your son's on the roof naked again." She had an impossible time figuring out how he got outside, and from there, how he got on the roof. I'm not sure she ever did.
