I just discovered while looking for blank CDs in James's room that I can make his symbols cymbals [edit: darn homophones] ring lightly by singing a given note. I'm sure anyone can do this, but I had never noticed it.
resonance is a wonderful thing. In one of my apartments in Chicago, everthing in the bathroom resonated at a particular frequency that was well within my normal speaking range. All of the sudden you hit the right note and it's like you're the voice of god.
I go nuts when the drum set is left set up in church during the week occasionally. If the drummer doesn't remember to damp things down, my organ practice makes the cymbals sing and the snare rattle!
