If anything, I think scientists often have MORE humour than people in other occupations... Maybe my opinion is anecdotal, but I have a *lot* of material to draw from.
(And yes, Matt Bigler is interviewing CS in the background as I type this... and it's already funny: "So, is there life... in Spain?") Good question. I have empirical data that suggests this is so.
