Many of you may be familiar with Monty Python's sketch where the Pope confronts Michaelangelo about a painting of the Last Supper. You should read the transcript of the appearance of Renaissance artist Paolo Veronese before the Inquisition about a "Last Supper" he painted.

Okay, so it's not quite John Cleese and Eric Idle. But I think it's clear where the Python got their inspiration.

It should be noted that Veronese did not repaint the picture as he was ordered to by the Inquisition; he simply retitled it "Supper in the House of Levi."
