Had a pretty good day yesterday. Got my hair cut short, and went and splurged on matting and framing for my favorite work of art that I have done. Was paid a compliment by the frame salesman (after I had already paid for the work, so I tend to believe it was sincere, not an attempt to sell me on framing), who liked the painting (which is a somewhat abstract watercolor rendering of purple flowers in a yellow bowl).
James did not pass his skating test, poor baby -- he needs to work on his edges. But the judges liked his energy on the ice, and he does a lovely spiral and waltz jump.
Went to Maundy Thursday service, and came home to a birthday dinner of take out Chinese and chocolate cake and peppermint ice cream. Yum. Got some nice loot (my eldest son gave me "Revolver" by the Beatles -- he has good taste). In fact, I got everything I could have hoped for for my birthday. (Well, except for maybe one DVD -- but I got a DVD of "Hair" which I am very excited about)
Then to bed. I was pretty tired (because of fibromyalgia) but it was a good day overall.
