Live Journal has not felt like a very safe place for me lately. So I have not posted much of substance -- and little else, as well, for that matter.

It has been pointed out to me that I was doing better when I was posting more regularly, but whether that is a cause or an effect I cannot say.

I am looking for a way to make it safer and more manageable for me. Which may mean culling my friends list: I read everything but find I have no energy to comment on anything.

Or it may mean making my journal mostly private. Hmmm.

I understand. But I for one would be sad to not see you post again. Hope you're feeling better soon.

you need to do what ever necessary to feel safe...making private posts or friends only posts. but continue to write. your friends will still always be here, whether we see your writing or not...

although i will miss your trivia questions :-)

If you can always set up coustom filters so only certin people in your friends list can see a post if you like. Here is the link to do the costom filters.

Do what you need to, for safe feeling, but don't stop writing, even if it's just to yourself.

You can also use the filters to look at subsets of your friends list at any given time (I do this for the photo journals and communities I subscribe to so they don't bloat the more text-only friends list).

Good luck on finding your peace of mind.

I'm sorry to hear that. Of course, I never post anything of substance. There's so little meaning in substance and so much depth in frivolity. And yes, I do read too much Oscar Wilde.
