I really like this piece from a former Marine Navy veteran and Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy on the current political climate. Thanks to wcg for the link.

Thanks for the reference. I should point out that Wade Sanders never served in the Marine Corps though. He did serve in Vietnam, as part of the brown water Navy, and he's a decorated combat veteran. I'm sure he'd have been a good Marine had he joined the Corps, but he's a Sailor.
