This morning when I dropped off D (my third grader) at his classroom with his diorama of the desert gerbil (it was news to me that they lived anywhere but Petco : >), his teacher had already put up her diorama of a javelina. I asked David if he knew what a javelina was. "Sure", he said. "It's a relative of the wild pig."

"Yep," said brian1789, when I told him about this. "As in 'Hava-leana-piece-of bacon...'"
