One down.....

The House of Deputies voted to confirm Gene Robinson as bishop of N.H. It now goes to the House of Bishops -- and if it passes there, things will get *really* interesting in the Anglican world.

Also, a substitute resolution for the same-sex blessing rites has been offered: under the substitute, the blessing would be placed in Enriching Our Worship rather than Book of Occasional Services. EOW can be adopted -- or not -- by bishops individually. If it passes, neither side will be happy, I'm predicting -- the gay rights side because it will allow bishops to refuse to adopt rites for same-sex blessings, and the other side because the rites are being developed at all.

And the Diocese of Puerto Rico is now an official part of ECUSA.

I have heard several people on my friends list say something to the effect of "It is impossible for someone to 'hate the sin but love the sinner'."

( Why I don't necessarily think that's true.... )
