I was so good. I signed the permission form for the day-long GATE conference today and sent it to school with you the day after it arrived in the mail A MONTH AGO. All you had to do was fill in what workshops you wanted to take and give it to your teacher.
I changed a perfectly good orthodontist appointment for this, to a day and a time which are both less convenient for me.
So discovering this morning that you hadn't in fact actually turned in the permission form makes me cranky, especially after I called the school and sent the poor secretary running around trying to find out if you would need a lunch or if they were going to feed you. Then telling me that you don't think you'll go because you will have to get the least popular workshops instead of the ones you want makes me even crankier.
Your teachers claim you are brilliant but "organizationally challenged." They may be right. I empathize (being organizationally challenged myself) but you just might want to clean out that backpack of yours more often.
With love and squalor,
Mom
