... but I am going to do this anyway. It's really too late for it, but this is a Christmas wish list. It is not intended for anyone on my standard LJ friends list, more so that I have something to point family towards when they ask. (Hence it is a public post.)
I really don't need anything -- I have my faith, my family, my friends, and, most days, fairly good health.
What I want for Christmas, in descending order of importance/impossibility/expense:
World Peace -- specifically in Iraq, Israel and Afghanistan
And end to hunger and homlessness
A new president
Russell Crowe's phone number
a publishing contract
An Apple iBook -- preferably the 17" ones -- loaded, with CD burner
Okay, enough joking around. Here are some more practical ideas. Here goes:
Gift Certificates: Starbucks. Amazon.com. Barnes and Noble, Borders. Starbucks. Coldwater Creek and Land's End. Starbucks. Suncoast Movie Company, Century (or AMC) Cinemas. Did I mention Starbucks?
Books: Jon Stewart's America.
Art supplies: A watercolor box set or easel set.
DVDs: "Broadway: The American Musical" box set; "The That's Entertainment Collection" (all of the movies in one box set) "Singing In The Rain," "Cabaret," "Chicago." (Why, yes, I do like musicals, why do you ask?) The Looney Tunes Golden Collection V. 2. Either season 1 or 2 of Rocky & Bullwinkle.
Clothes: Tops, mainly -- I wear a 3x. I need long sleeve tops which are not too heavy Or nice short-sleeved tops.
Maybe an iPod (not a mini).
(Please, no soaps or perfumes. I love nice soaps, and would love to get them, but I have to be very careful about scents -- many of them, particularly sweet ones like gardenia or magnolia, give me migraines.)
What I most want is for all of you to have the Happiest of Holidays.
