Sometimes you just need chocolate pudding. Last night I found myself in that space, and so came up with this:
Pat's Chocolate Mouse
1.5 oz dark Ghiradelli chocolate
2 T heavy whipping cream
big dollops of Cool Whip
Microwave chocolate and cream for a minute or so. Stir until smooth and all the chocolate is melted. Fold in Cool Whip carefully until well mixed. Give some to eldest son to stop him whining.
