Sorry, I was occupied elsewhere.... it took longer than an hour (we discovered that we had neglected to turn it from the "pilot" setting to the "on" setting) but we do indeed have hot water. Whew.

Our hot water heater broke last year while we were away at my father's funeral. Along with all the other stress and awfulness, Ryk hurt his back sailing that week, so after a weekend of sitting in hard pews and the car (we had 2 memorial services 3 hours driving apart) and sleeping in a motel bed, he was really looking forward to the bath.
