I should be going to bed... and I am completely tensed up. I need to sleep, or I will not be functional tomorrow, but I'm scared to go to sleep. I just do not feel safe, even though rationally I know I probably am.
Been there, done that. The first few nights after I was mugged, I had to have the lights on all night (even though I was mugged several km from my house).
