Needed: Someone to watch television with. Someone who won't laugh at me for liking Iron Chef America. Someone who doesn't think I lower my IQ by watching CSI. Someone who understands why it matters whether Ed Green gets killed (if you don't know who Ed Green is, that may be a strike against you). Turn-ons: crime dramas, smart cooking shows (no Emeril), nonfiction television, Lost, Bebe Neuwirth, TiVo, The Amazing Race, Jon Stewart. Turnoffs: science fiction (except for Red Dwarf), reality shows (except for The Amazing Race), American sitcoms (British sitcoms taken on a case-by-case basis), talk shows (except for Jon Stewart).

Must be local SF Bay (preferably South Bay or Peninsula) (unfortunately, [livejournal.com profile] phinnia and [livejournal.com profile] sisterfish125, that rules you out). Can meet at your place or, if you don't mind mess and children, mine. Or a bar somewhere -- although most bars shows sports. Available Monday, Wednesday and weekends.

how do you feel about House MD? it was apparently conceived as a detective show except that illness is the culprit.

also I <3 Alton Brown.

am not a CSI watcher but from what I hear, I'd probably like it.

oh wait, I'm not local :)

CSI is good. The spin-offs much less so (partly because I find David Caruso nuts). And Alton Brown.... *swoon*.

My kingdom for a transporter. :P I'm even used to the mess-and-children (she says, eyeing the carpet o' toys).

We are a Survivor/ CSI/ Without a Trace Thursday night house (though I usually don't get to WaT until Sunday or Monday because it is on our DVR).

Monday is a Cold Case evening because I watch it the night the kids aren't here.

Tuesday we watch American Idol and the Amazing Race.

Wednesday is American Idol night and occassionally other shows.

I also record What Not to Wear and watch it during the weekend with the kids. In fact, Miss Chiff wants to get me on it just so that she can guest star with Stacy and Clinton... You know, you haven't lived until your 6-year-old looks you in the eye and says, "Mama, your shirt should cut closer to your body here, at your narrowest spot. And have you ever heard of wide leg trousers?"

You are welcome to come over here any of the nights mentioned above to have the girls' night in as long as you don't mind curling up on a couch with ladies in their pajamas.

*grins*

Just let me know.
