crossfire_ posted the text of a speech by Senfronia Thompson, a Texas state Representative, on a proposed state constitutional amendment to outlaw gay marriage, civil unions, or anything like it.

The text is also here, with a link to an MP3 of her speech.

Unfortunately, her speech fell on deaf ears: the Texas House passed it, 102-29. It has been sent on to the Texas Senate, where it will need to be passed by a 2/3 majority.
