Um, okay..... I would love to know the backstory here.

And then there's this... I really want to know if this guy gets responses.

The second one is odd. It does look like he's asking people to write things he plans to sell.

Since I don't know you, I don't know if you're serious, but it looked pretty clearly like a parody to me.

I think so to -- probably fed up at looking at crap offers that basically ask people to work for free with some nebulous hope of some payoff. Having spent a while looking at craigslist wantads (especially the "Etc." and "Gigs" categories) you see it a lot.

Whatever the second ad was, it's been removed from craigslist.

That's too bad (but understandable I guess); it was rather amusing.

On craigslist, in the job ads -- especially in the "Gigs" and "etc." categories -- you often find ads which ask for submissions or other work that you will not get paid for but which offer a chance at some nebulous future payoff. The ad that got pulled was a parody of those ads, starting off "Are the words 'ersatz,' 'specious' and 'gullible' in your vocabulary?" and offering to send people who wrote items information about being paid $100.00 ("I won't actually send you the $100, just the information"). It ended by saying "You too are eligible for this offer if you believe in my world of sprites, elves, and fairies."
