About last night's CSI: Wow. Quentin Tarantino is wonderful - and it was nice to see his work in a medium lacking the gore which he usually employs and which I have trouble watching.

What I especially liked was the way he worked bits of canon into the story: mention of Warrick's gambling problem, Catherine's father, and the fact that it was Grissom's bug fixation which led them to the solution. But my favorite moment was when Grissom was watching the video feed of Nick recording his last message. We can't hear what Nick is saying, but Grissom responds. In the second and third seasons, they had a storyline revolving around Grissom's hearing issues, including the fact that his mother had been deaf and he was able to both lip-read and sign. This clearly was referring to that.

And then there was the Without a Trace finale, which annoyed me.

And what's up with NBC canceling Trial by Jury? They didn't even give it a fair chance.

WHAT? I didn't hear about the TBJ thing. That utterly stinks.

Yeah, I read about it yesterday in the paper. I know TBJ was a bit rocky, but it was way better than SVU was in its first season or so. (I saw some of those early episodes last week -- they were pretty bad.)

I enjoyed the CSI finale. Well, except for the fire-ants.

I thought that there was a lot of Tarantino that came through, and he really brought a different perspective to the show. I'd like to see him involved in future episodes too!

The CSI was astonishing. I watched most of it in and out of the room because I am somewhat claustrophobic and that show made me feel for Nick too much. Especially once the fire ants got in. *scream* However, I did save it on my DVR (similar to Tivo) and may watch it again.

Without a Trace was just there. I napped after I watched it today.
