A prominent female state senator has said that she does not support the 19th Amendment, which guarantees women the right to vote, and that if it were being considered today she would vote against it.

Surprisingly, she addresses that in her quotes in the article. She says that it's the fault of men that women have to vote, participate in the legislature and hold jobs. It's required of women because men don't do their job in protecting and taking care of women. Apparently.
