I would like recommendations. What political blogs are you reading? I favor left-leaning ones, of course, but lately Daily Kos has struck me as rather shrill. I understand the tone, given that there is much to be shrill about (and I have, of course, occasionally been really shrill myself), but I need calmer voices these days.

Making Light is a good one! Lately I've been also reading Hugo Schwyzer, who's mostly left leaning, abortion being the major exception (he's a consistent-life ethicist). Though there's a fair amount I disagree with him about, I find him thought provoking, and he's a rather gentle guy.

I've got a huge long blogroll, some of which I make a point to check daily, some which I know are good but keep forgetting to read.
