I'm sitting here crying. I'm hoping it's the Vicodin that's causing me to feel like a waste of oxygen -- as I understand it, the drug can cause depression.

I feel so useless.

OK. Let's stop wallowing, shall we? Sitting and feeling useless will not in fact make us feel better. So..


Call and leave message about Band Family Luncheon. Check.
Call and find out where to mail the measurement forms. Check.
Write needed email. Check.
Record the school calendar on the wall calendar. Good idea. Check.
Do laundry. NO. Bad idea. Leaning over the machine puts stress on the knee and YOU'RE TRYING TO GET WELL.
Listen to upbeat music. Good idea.
Work on ongoing project. Very good idea.
Download "Zoot Suite Riot." Check.

Time to get to work. Then a nap. Or maybe a nap first. Yep, that's the ticket.

That drug can really mess with your mind. :/ I hope you don't need it long, and I'm glad it's temporary. I don't do well with opiates -- mostly, they don't work for all the pain of constipation they cause -- so I depend on NSAIDs and Tylenol for that sort of pain. I hope you can ramp down to those, soon.

You are not a waste of oxygen. You are tired, depressed, and in pain. These are all valid reasons for feeling yucky.

Vicodin can mentally tweak a person, to put it mildly. I just read back and found your posts about your knee. :( Have J do the laundry (I am referring to your son, actually). *hugs*
