Rent opens around Thanksgiving. "Seasons of Love" is now available on iTunes, although the rest of soundtrack won't be available until September 28th.

I've looked at the trailer. It's nice to know what Jesse L. Martin was doing while Ed Green was recuperating. The man can sing.

[Edit: Uh-oh. It was directed by Chris Columbus. I don't think this bodes well.]

Yep. And I'm glad they did, too. L&O has a history of people leaving when they want to other things, it's good they found a way to keep him on hand and still let him do the movie. Jesse Martin leaving the year after Jerry Orbach did would have been bad for the show.

I have not quite warmed up to Denis Farina, although I rather like Michael Imperioli's stint. Also, where do yo think they'll take SVU? Both Chris Meloni and Mariska Hargitay have stated that their characters are not going to hook up, so *that's* good. More Fin would be appreciated, and more airtime for B.D.Wong as George Huang would bne great.

I haven't really warmed up to Dennis Farina either, but he's got some awfully big shoes to fill, I suppose. :-D
I'm kind of glad there's to be no Benson/Stabler "thing". I've been wondering for a while if Olivia's character isn't going to transfer to Homicide (they made some reference to a homicide class a while back). And I would love to see more Fin and Munch, and definitely Huang.

The quote from Meloni in the last T.V. Guide was something along the lines of "If that happens we will have truly jumped the shark." I think that they should transfer *Stabler* to Homicide -- the character is just about to go postal at SVU. And if they *have* to give him a girlfriend, why not D.A. Novak?

I would /love/ to see the two of them get together. I like her - I liked Alex Cabot better, but she's a good character.
