Life is what happens ....

... when you're making other plans.

I had today all planned out: I was going to meet si_anemome for coffee and then we were going to go to the library and work. I was looking forward to it, and even set out my clothes the night before, so I could hop right into the shower in the morning.

So of course my middle child woke up this morning with a strange rash which necessitated keeping him home from school and taking him to the doctor.

Fortunately, it is nothing serious, and I will still get to meet si_anemome for coffee.

But I'm grumpy about my plans getting disrupted.
