I'm sitting watching "That's Entertainment" for the ten millionth time with my eldest son (who has a fondness for old MGM musicals, go figure; between that and his Led Zeppelin addiction, you might say he has eclectic tastes).

I started off the day by accidentally double-dosing myself on meds I take for tremor. After calling poison control to determine I didn't need to go to the ER, I spent the rest of the day in a drug-induced haze. Somehow I managed to go to David's baseball practice, and [livejournal.com profile] brian1789 got us lunch and watched the kids for three hours while I napped, but it has not been fun. Dinner was Lunchables and deli sandwiches, I didn't trust myself to cook.

I have gotten nothing accomplished today. I am still groggy, but more alert than I have been all day.

A couple of links:

[livejournal.com profile] calebbullen's take on living in the shadow of war.

A voice of calm regarding the threat of biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons. Much thanks to [livejournal.com profile] anotheranon for the link.

And I am going to link to [livejournal.com profile] mactavish's post about disability rights activist Harriet Johnson and ethical (I use the term loosely) philosopher Stephen Springer. Even though I am really trying to let go of the rage it inspired in me.
