I've got one for you. Where, according to the Oxford English Dictionary, is the first usage of the word "Baseball" ?
Maybe this is more common knowledge than I think, I'm not a fan of baseball but I am a fan of this author.

I just started reading it today and in her introduction to Catherine mentions that she likes baseball. In the notes, they mention that OED cites it as the first reference.
