It's 85. At 9:00 am.

AS I was going out the door to take James to church -- he needs to be there early because of the band -- I tripped on the sidewalk and fell face first into the dirt. I yelled (loudly, unfortunately), and the kids came out to help.

I twisted my knee. Deciding that discretion was the better part of valor -- or something like that -- I have punted church and am icing my knee in the hope it will be better later, since [livejournal.com profile] cyan_blue and [livejournal.com profile] tenacious_snail were going to take the kids away for the afternoon. I am not particularly sanguine about this working, since I can already feel it swelling, in spite of the ice.

Damn.

Eep... I hope the knee feels better soon! Let us know if you need help any sooner than 11am - like a ride to the doctor's or whatnot. I'm over at Les's, so could arrive on the sooner side if you'd like.

James is going to need a ride home from church, I told him to call me when he's ready to come home and I'd call Les or you.

We can do that. Do you know approximately what time?

I'm assuming you have it elevated, too, and have taken an anti-inflamtory?

I hope it feels better!

OWOW! That sounds painful, sweetie... wish I could help from here. Rest and ice and elevate it, and line up help for tomorrow (when it will be most stiff and sore).

(hugs)
