I finally accomplished a task I was avoiding doing: calling Gill Ford in Coalinga about getting their repair repaired. (When they put the car back together, the steering wheel was crooked, and there is too much "play" in the steering wheel. It's certainly drivable, but it's driving me nuts. And, although this may not be related, my gas mileage has, er, tanked.) I had tried calling several times earlier, but had been unable to reach the service department (it's a very small dealership.) I was beginning to think they were avoiding my phone calls.

They were nice, and said "Just take it to any Ford Dealership," which from talking to Joe at Sunnyvale Ford, I knew not to be the case. (According to Joe, because it was an installation problem, Gill Ford had to authorize the repair. Given that the people at Sunnyvale Ford are much more competent in general than the people at Gill, I tend to believe him.) So Melissa at Gill Ford said she'd call Joe, and I called Joe and left a message that she was going to call him. She may not call, but at least I got the ball rolling and can follow up with it next Monday, if I don't hear from Joe sooner.

So in my whole useless day, I have done one good thing. Go me.
