I can't tell which astounds me more... the offensiveness of this, or the fact that there is someone who doesn't understand why it is offensive.

However, on the good side, this post did allow me to stretch my little used snark muscles.

[livejournal.com profile] dda is pretty vocally anti-feminist, so it doesn't surprise me all that much that he couldn't see anything wrong with Avatar's hate screed. (Take this (http://dda.livejournal.com/258619.html) recent post of his, for example.) IMO the guy's a real jerk, and that he would take somebody to task for taking offense at an essay that says she's closer to a dog than a woman just confirms it.

I can understand the argument that I'd want to know someone finds me disgusting rather than have them cover it up and find it out only later. I'm not sure that I see how that makes it not-offensive, though.
