Tapas helps make anything bettter.

So brian1789, being the lovely person he is, came home from work and took me to Iberia for tapas.

I still hurt a lot, and it's hard to walk. The house is still a mess. He's still leaving tomorrow. And the letters are still flaking off this damn keyboard.

But life is suddenly brighter because tapas from Iberia make anything better.

See they have these addictive cheese scone things, and there are the scallop croquettes, and the gambas a la plancha, and the toast with cheese and chorizo, but the very best thing is...

Deviled dates. Dates stuffed with chorizo and wrapped in bacon and broiled.

To die for.

And getting out of the house and talking to a real live intelligent grown-up didn't hurt, either.

Those dates are the best things on the planet. Period. End of report. I swear, before I die, I will make them in my own kitchen. I've already *almost* got the cheese scones down.
