The kids have discovered "The Simpsons," which they love. I am torn between being delighted that this is yet something else we can enjoy together, and sheer terror at the thought of what this might do to their behavior (especially Kevin).

Heh. We recently got the complete second season and just finished watching "Bart the Daredevil" (the one where he tries to jump Springfield Gorge). I'm not sure why I thought of Kevin briefly. Scratch that, yes I am sure. ;)

I hope when you had tea last time [livejournal.com profile] brian1789 was in your area, he showed you a picture of the kids. Kevin just looks like trouble : > Oh well, he brightens my day, even as he shortens my lifespan.

Imitative behavior

Yep, it's good to be careful. When my kids were really into The Simpsons, my older son got the idea that it was okay to put his hands around his brother's throat and choke/shake him, the way Homer does to Bart. That was the end of Simpsons-watching in our house.
