In 1978 Eric Idle of Monty Python wrote and starred in one of the funniest rock parodies (IMNSHO) ever made. What was the name of the made for television movie, what band did it parody, and which band member actually had a cameo?

The Rutles: All You Need is Cash" was a brutally spot-on parody of the Beatles and various serious documentaries about them. The saga of Dirk, Nasty, Stig (he of no fixed hairstyle) and Barry included cameos by Mick Jagger and Ron Wood (as themselves) and, as a television announcer, George Harrison. Proving that, in addition to being the "quiet Beatle", George was also the Beatle with the best developed sense of humor.
