Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] daltong for the brownies (yum!) and to Lori for dropping them off and for everyone who has been sending good thoughts my way.

You're so welcome.

Tonight I made y'all a spaghetti dinner. It should be enough for all 5 of you (I hope)--I made a lot. Is there a good time for me to drop it off? Also: would you like me to drop by for a couple of hours on Saturday and hang out so Brian can have a break and you can see someone new for a bit?

If this Saturday won't work, I'll freeze the sauce and bring it by sometime later. Let me know what would work for you! Brian's got my numbers.

*hugs*

Naturally, I've lost the slip of paper with your phone number on it...

I'm going to try to go in to work today... Pat will be all alone for about 4-5 hours, from 10:30-3pm or so. It would be great if you could bring by the spaghetti today, and maybe check on her a little bit ;-). (Our telephone is (650) 988-1790, BTW).

Thanks, but I'm having trouble reading right now. And when I do collect enough wits to read, I'm working my way through "The Truth" by Terry Pratchett and "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil," by someone who's name escapes me just now. I also have Alice Sebold's "The Lovely Bones," but I don't think I have the emotional fortitude to tackle that one right now.

I have to confess that I have gotten hooked on daytime TV (not soaps, but talk shows and decorator/cooking shows and the history channel). This is sad. : >

decorator/cooking shows

"Trading Spaces" and "Iron Chef" are some of the best things ever. =)

Tonight, back in the hospital, she asked me to get her Terry Pratchett's latest Discworld book, plus a copy of Entertainment Weekly. Can you get employee discounts? I'd happily drop off a check or cash to cover it...

Re:

Yup. Unfortunatley, I'm working the late shift tonight, so you'll have to stop in and pick them up (asuming we have any on hand).

I'm there from 1 to 9.
