hurrah! After trying to get into see my gyn (since they did the surgery) I gave up and called my primary care doctor. Her nurse was as emphatic as the gyn nurse was diffident -- "you MUST be seen tonight; we have to find out what's causing the fever." So I get to see a doctor (not mine, but oh well) in a couple of hours. Head still hurts a lot, though.

That's good news. Wish I could offer any real assistance from over here; in the meantime, I hope they find out what's causing the fever and manage to get it taken care of.
